East Midlands Airport

by Kim Humphreys

This is my first attempt at any sort of FS2000 scenery. I have only been designing for a couple of months, so please excuse any inaccuracies.

You will need VOD textures and Apt210 textures.

When I first started down loading many scenery designers seemed to assume that everyone knew how load the add-on into FS2000, which I certainly did not. So here goes.

First of all create a scenery folder called Eastmids and place it within the main FS2000 Scenery folder. Then, within that folder create 2 further folders called Texture and Scenery.

Copy all the bmp and af files into your main texture Folder in FS2000 and copy the bgl file into the Scenery folder of the Eastmids folder.

Next, you need to copy the following lines into the main FS2000 config file and increase the scenery layer level by one from the last scenery layer level.

[Area.***]
Title=East Midlands
Layer=**
Active=TRUE
Local=C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2000\SCENERY\Eastmid\Scenery
Exclude=N052 53.00,W001 24.00,N052 47.00,W001 12.00,objects

This scenery was made from photographs taken at a distance. If anyone out there can get me closer into the airport to take some better pictures, I'll start work on version2....
